The Great Woofaloomp Round-up Log

OOC Notes: What are these technicolor Furby things? One might say they are Soraya's comfort animals/anxiety-reduction companions. It doesn't do to have cosmic entities who are swole with Bios and very powerful but also very mentally distracted and anxious, possibly in part due to said Bios. The Woofaloomps are living Bios baubles who siphon off their mistress's/keeper's extra energy and promote general tranquility.

Catching them can have various effects:
🫧 induce feelings of tranquility
✨ magic buff/enhancement
🌀 PC makes up w/ev: they can be as variable as the Hexberries

At present: They are literally just straight up running all over the apartment complex grounds. They are fast and can "glitch" between spaces, which can make them more challenging to catch. And they can also imitate sounds/voices to throw people off track. And they will mess with Otherworlders for Shenanigans, to be assured.

Extra: Note that for additional shenanigans, one can combine this with the berry muffin quest.

The wish element is an optional aspect of this log. PCs do not have to make a wish to participate, but those who received gifts are expected to be GO-GETTERS, so be ready to pack... the Bentley and the wheelbarrow, get them ready to roll and drive these babies home --

[ *Being round chonks is the only trait they share, visually. Some have wings, some have large eyes, and some look like little bugs or bear-like creatures. If people want to come up with attributes for them or different sub-genres, mod gives you the blessing to go wild. And that includes helping me fill out other little word things re: any of the flora/fauna that should interest any of you. ]

Crowley tips his head back to eyeball Rhea'li. "Yeeeeeah. Looks like you've got it too. Sense'a... peace'n rubbish. Or you forget we're s'pposed to catch 'em?" He barely enunciates at the best of times, so all his words are running into each other and dropping bits.

His brow furrows, as though it is a great effort to pull his thoughts together.

"Of course I've not forgotten." And he stills his tail, allowing the woofaloomp to catch it. The fuzzy creature chitters happily and promptly puts Rhea'li's tail into its mouth. Rhea'li grins lopsidedly at Crowley, saying with pride, "See?"

Who's catching who, now?

"Little bugger caught you. See, I caught one!" He brandishes the one he's holding at Rhea'li. "Didn't even drop it. It wants me to, bloody thing, don't you? Absolutely rubbish, bloody... tranquility." He glares down at the lump of fluff. "Didn't ask for that, just trying to bring you home, you stupid bugger, nobody asked you t'--ooze emotions at me."

He tilts his head and a pebble lifts off the ground and bounces off of Rhea'li's forehead. "Grab it while the gettin's good, innit?"

The pebble hits him square between the eyes, which he reacts with a scrunch of the face and a delayed, "Ow!"

But fine he'll catch the fuzzy ball. And by catch, really it was more of Rhea'li sitting up and scooping the creature into his arms.

It doesn't let go of his tail, though.

"Wha's wrong with tranquility and emotions?"

"'s all well and good to experience-- nat'rully, or intenten-intentionally, or whatever, yeah, but I don't need things in my brain that I didn't invite there." He shakes the woofalump a bit. "Bloody thing, no one asked you for this. At least when I'm drunk I've done it on purpose and I can undo it whenever I please." Control issues? Him? Perish the thought.
