Sakura "In Fuyuki Girl Feasts On You" Matou ([personal profile] nightmare_fuel) wrote in [community profile] magisteriaexe 2024-06-26 12:14 am (UTC)

"I'm... also a mage," Sakura confesses. Well, she was a girl born into a family of mages. The blood of the Tohsaka clan had passed into her veins, even if the family crests and the magecraft itself went to her sister. Born into one mage family, traded into another. Imbued with the sinister, twisted techniques of the Matou and the contents of the cursed Holy Grail. And yet, for all her raw power, she had known little of true socery and its history. Her sister had pointed this out, criticizing her for how apart she was from the actual society and history of mages and how little she truly understood the workings thereof.

And for that matter, Sakura is... not certain how she feels at the thought of her soul being seen. There are certain matters, secrets, that she holds very close to herself, guarded and private. The thought that he, that any of them, might perceive that which she had done, that which she had been, or experienced, or was trying to move past...

But before she can dwell further, or respond to engage with him about these topics, something catches her attention: in the oceanic darkness ahead, the deep and unfathomable blue/black and shadows of the water, beyond the structures of coral and kelp and the curiously shaped creatures which float around and about them...

"... a light..."

Soft, blue. Pulsing. As though it were beckoning to them from the cave they have been approaching. Sakura knows. She just Knows, somehow. She does not have the sort of Soulsight Emet speaks of, but she thinks he must know, too, seeing that willow-o'-the-wisp flicker far below the waters.

That way.
