It was only with some advice and dogged practice that he was able to improve enough to pass. But in this dome, where he can walk around and take stock of his surroundings... to take mental measure of the distance between the flowers so he can remember it without needing to rely so heavily on sight when his perception of depth is limited... his control over his Bursterfly, at least in this location, is at somewhere in the ballpark of 'competent.'
He's just far more used to working with magical constructs attuned to himself.
He folds his arms, tilting his head as his tail flicks behind him. "Mayhap a demonstration would be more illuminating. If you chart a course, then I will follow your Bursterfly's lead."
