But with the Bursterfly he doesn't feel that connection... instead needing to instruct it with this unfamiliar controller. So... it sounds like is this is the mechanism by which he must control this creature, then he must become so familiar with it that he does not need to think.

And certainly, the Bursterfly swoops about in a smoother arc than when he first started, though adjusting its height is still something that doesn't come as naturally to him.
