Rhea'li pays no heed to the sigh, Ifrit-egi's flames cooling at his wordless command. Without any further ado, he sticks his fork into the now soft fillet and pulls away a small portion of the cryptocarp, blowing on it a few times before popping it into his mouth and chewing.

Hm.

This doesn't really... taste very much like fish. Certainly, it has the texture of fish. But the flavour is rather... it doesn't taste bad, but the mild flavour it began with started to morph into a rather bitter aftertaste the longer he chewed, much like a good plan gone awry.

"'Tis certainly... unique," he concedes. Would salt bring out the initial mild flavour more strongly?
