Emet-Selch gives up trying to sneak up on them after another near miss. Exhaling loudly, he raises a hand and narrows his eyes. Crackling energy gathers at his fingertips, before a bright, violet jolt leaps towards the woofaloomp.

...It strikes true. The creature convulses before flopping over, stunned. But before Emet-Selch can feel any satisfaction, he hears a shrill shriek in his head and instinctively claps his hands over his ears.
