"The exploration on Bios is a worthy topic, especially should you uncover anything beyond that which we have learned or been told by the natives so far."
Gilgamesh was not staring at Ratio's notes, but he had noticed in passing that this was one of the topics the other man was writing notes about. And, truthfully, of everything which defined Magisteria, Bios seemed to be the most core concept: the energy that powers all living things, but also the society itself.
"Its origins, for example, and whether it is a limited resource..." he muses. "How exactly it functions within the body. My world had something similar. Known as mana -- that is what would sustain a being such as myself. Yet, as I discussed with that woman, Lucy, I do not yet know of the particulars for how Bios may differ."
Did undead beings, spirits such as himself, possess it? Presuming they existed here -- which, from what Gilgamesh understood of the world as a location wherein Everything Can Potentially Exist... did seem rather likely; in fact, he himself is a spirit now, his mana traded... for Bios. But what of other worlds? Was "Bios" responsible for other powers elsewhere, only manifested differently and known by alternative names? Chi, chakra... was it all a singular energy source? Well, in any case, Gilgamesh thinks, if Ratio wants something to research, all this seemed relevant. Not just for himself, of course, but for all the natives and Otherworlders alike.
"I do know that certain ... creatures... within the agriculture region, seemed darkened, bereft of Bios. Hungering for it, one might say."
